Virtual Sessions

Virtual Sessions

“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” ~BrenĂ© Brown

I offer HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions via the SimplePractice platform (or, for those who prefer it, by phone). There are many reasons that video or phone sessions might be a good fit for your situation. For example, perhaps you live in an area where there aren’t many therapists. Maybe you’ve got a very busy schedule, don’t have time to commute, are limited in your transportation options, or have small children. If so, virtual sessions may be a way to access the support you need from the comfort of your home or office, especially since research consistently shows that online treatment is as effective as face-to-face treatment for many concerns (e.g., depression).

Virtual sessions are appropriate for the vast majority of clients. However, certain concerns are best suited for in-person work, including suicidal, self-harming, or violent thoughts/urges and behavior. Additionally, because of state licensing laws, I am only able to provide virtual sessions to clients located in the state of Oregon (or living abroad) at this time. If you’re interested in learning more about working together in this way, please contact me with any questions or click the “Make an Appointment” button below to schedule a free, 15-minute phone consultation. We can discuss your goals for therapy and your current situation, address any questions or concerns you may have, and figure out together whether it feels like virtual sessions would be a good fit for your needs.
